Click to enlarge#124 Twin Log Cabin Quilts

These quilts have been several years in the making! Yes, there are two, identical(pretty much) twin log cabin quilts.

Jeanette Mateer (Cheboygan, MI) took some of my scraps (and added to them, I think) to piece the tops. They were machine-quilted in a beautiful overal leaf motif by Sue Smucker (Wooster, OH). Back they came to Michigan where Joy Cramer (Fenton, MI) bound them. Janet Beckstrom (Flint, MI) and Ami Simms sewed down the bindings by hand. (And I think it only took three years!)

These are wonderful quilts, each measuring 64" x 84".

Hats off to everyone who had a hand in this project!

This quilt was successfully auctioned in November 2004 at the annual Lead in the Holidays event benefitting Leader Dogs for the Blind.
